Synopsis

A two-part look at the dehumanizing effects of the Vietnam War on the mindset of the military. The first segment follows a group of US Marines recruits, from the primary point of view of Privates Joker and Piles, enduring a brutal basic training. As the film progresses, Private Joker is deployed to the horrific battlefronts of Vietnam as a war correspondent, focusing on the Tet offensive.
